Francisco and his family

Take action: Stop the deportation of Francisco Perez Cordova

Dear NMD supporters,

In our effort to end deaths and suffering in the US–Mexico borderlands, we are increasingly called to address the factors that force so many people to make the perilous journey through the desert.

In this regard, we call on you to help us stop the deportation of Francisco Perez Cordova.

Francisco is one of too many parents facing deportation. His family calls the US home and we ask you to act to help us keep Francisco at home, safely with his family. Francisco Perez CordovaParents torn away from their children make up a growing population we regularly witness taking great risks to return home to their loved ones against all odds.

Despite promises from the Obama administration that they are not deporting people like Francisco, Francisco is facing permanent separation from his five US-citizen children and his wife, Sarai, who is a DACA applicant. Francisco already has a final order of removal. This father of five recently took Sanctuary at St. Francis United Methodist Church in Tucson, Arizona, in an effort to keep his family together and stop his deportation. Help us make that goal a reality. Take action today and encourage the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, to act swiftly to stop Francisco’s deportation.

Stay abreast of Francisco’s case and how his family is doing on Facebook.

Sincerely,

Sarah Launius
